SALALAH, OMAN
Salalah is the only place in the Gulf that gets monsoon showers. The ideal time to visit the place is between the months of July to September. The picturesque landscape can be the best place to visit during vacation. There are a number of tourist attractions in Salalah in Oman. Frankincense Trail in Salalah, Nabi Ayoub’s Tomb in Salalah, Salalah beaches, Salalah Parks and Gardens and Salalah Museums are some of the major sightseeing in Salalah in Oman. The city has become important for archaeological and historical studies. Nabi Ayoub’s Tomb in Salalah is one of the popular places to visit.
Let's start with Frankincense Tree.. Kind of a weird fragrance for me. I don't like it! hahahaaha.
You will be surprised to know that each year from Southern region of Arabia about 1,400 kilogram’s of frankincense were transported by ship to Mediterranean. The Frankincense trade has enhanced the popularity of Salalah. Trees of Wadi Dawkah, the ports of Khor Rori and Al-Balid give a broad view of the frankincense trade. If you want to buy the best frankincense then you can visit the Al Hafah Souk in Salalah. Wadi Dawkah Frankincense Park is situated in the half way between Thumrayt which is the last desert oasis before arriving at the Dhofar Mountain and Salalah city.
Beaches and Cliffs..
Nabi Ayoub’s Tomb

This was a tomb which was used by Job for his prayers. Nabi Ayoub’s Tomb at Salalah is about twenty miles from the city of Salalah. Job is regarded as a Prophet by Muslims, Jews and Christians. In Arabic Job is known as Ayoub Nabi. Women are advised to cover their heads with scarf and the visitors should take off their shoes before entering the Nabi Ayoub’s Tomb in Salalah.
